Elmer E. Mohrmann | Elmer E. Mohrmann was born on September 3, 1921. He Joined the US Army July 13, 1942 and served until October 1, 1945 in WWII. He seperated from the service as a Tec 5 Sergeant. He earned the earned the Good Conduct Medal, EAME Medal with 3 Stars, Combat Service Medal, American Campaign Medal, WWII Victory Medal, Army of Occupation Medal, Battle of the Bulge Campaign Medal, Bellgium Forragere, Overseas Service Medal, Army Service Medal, NJ Distinguished Service Medal, Burlington County Honorable Service Medal, Expert and Sharpshooter Medals. When he returned to Delanco in 1945, he went to work for NJ Bell for 37 years, retiring as a supervisor. Elmer was a member of Independence Fire Co #1 in Palmyra, then joined the Washington Fire Co No 1, where he became a Life Member. He was a member of American Legion Post 146 in Riverside. He married Norma Phile. Children: William E., Keith, and Dane. They lived at on Delview Lane in Delanco and were active at Dobbins Memorial Church in Delanco. Elmer died October 22, 2008 at age 87.
